Tell Me About Chronographs

bought the shooting chrony beta master chronograph.anyone use any of shooting chrony's equiptment? how does it compare to pact oehler etc?

Can't be much help don't know much about them myself.
I know someone will be able to tell you what you need to know. Usually S.Frame.

:D Dear BadMag. I have had one of the Chronys for quite a while. Very satisfied with it. Made the mistake of loaning it to a friend and he shot and killed it. Sent it to the factory and they were excellent in their repair etc[probably laughed themselves to death]. The only problem I have had was with the superfast bullets[17s and the 22-284] on very bright days. Found it worked better if I bastardized a cover for the chrono to deflect the sun a bit. Otherwise a 100% rig. Equal or better than my Oehler and a lot less work to set up. Have fun with yours. Aloha, Mark[in Or]

I bought the Chrony Beta Master when Midway had them on sale. It does everything I want it to do. Mine fits in an old hard case briefcase that I put foam inserts in. Bought a $10.00 camera tripod and it works great. Also put a 1/2" piece of steel plate fitted into the front of the screens. So that if & when I shoot it maybe it'll survive :)
