Hi Jerry,

No the deer wasn't swimming across the lake. That is the Mississippi River. We hunt on the islands that you see in the background. And no it isn't like hunting them in a pin. The islands are really large. The largest is aproximatley 3 mi. wide and 9 mi. long. It is like hunting in a large forrest. We have had guys get lost for several hours before.

Also, the deer freely swim back & forth across the river. There aren't very many there until the surrounding crops are taken out in the fall.
