Of couse i didn't gt out at all this year, so of course I saw none. Lost my dog this summer and just didn't want to get out.

Maybe next season will be what we both need to get good.

I didnt get out at all this year either.I lost my only waterfoul hunting buddy last Oct in a car crash. And just didnt have the drive this year to get out.
But i did have alot of geese flying over my head while in my stand this fall.Making me wish i had.

I miss him and our travels togather. We use to go to Lake ST.Clair in Michagan.Always had a ton of fun and good shooting.Just a couple miles from the Detroit Rivers Mouth out of Canada.

Anybody else ever hunt there or near by?

Sorry for both of your losses. It must be hard to see a season come and go with out them.

But they would want you to keep hunting..........

So next season, get back out there...... :D

I got out duck hunting twice and got 4 mallards this year. I was busy this year so didn't really get to go out duck hunting much. The four I did get came from Grand Pass. I also got 3 Canadian Geese, 2 in the early season here in MO, and 1 In the ext. season. Pretty bad year for me too. I think they got too many refuges and places for them to sit and eat where they can't be hunted.

The problem, atleast I think my problem was, that the birds didn't show up until a week after the season was over. There were alot more local birds killed this year because of it.

I had an OK year. Went up to Canada and me, my brother, my dad, and the guide ended up with 22 ducks in one day! 11 Drake Mallards, 1 Hen Black Duck and the rest were Hen Mallards. The trip was a little odd though because we got only 2 greenwing teal in another 3 days of hunting all in different spots.

I had a great year. We averaged 12 drake mallards and 4 wood ducks per hunt. We had a 60 day duck season. Our opening day was the best in years. The goose season was really fine. We had 4 different seasons for them. Got many banded geese but only a couple of the ducks had bands. The ducks and geese never really left Michigan. They are still sitting on the open water. That was a little strange.

Pretty much the ducks stayed up north and any hunters up there should have murdered em........maybe they'll fly all the way south this year. :D

I used to have a Lab still have a corner full of decoys a pram and a boat, etc and last year I stopped going all together. And I am not alone in that several others have quit as well because of the low population. As bad as it was in northern WI 10 years ago I probably saw 8-10 mallard and black families on one lake, this year I am really depressed... there is not 1! Infact on the 2 lakes that I spent time on neither has any. I don't think its the habitat because that hasn't changed in the 10 years I have been here. So if anyone is waiting for our ducks, take your fishing pole and a big lunch!

With all the snow and cold. How was everyone year?

I would hope that they would have been pushed down from Canada this year in larger quantities.
