When venturing out into the field, what do you carry in your backpack?

Whether it's on foot all day or in your stand.

I carry my trusty buck knife,range finder,bino's,extra release,rope,lighter,cover scents,lure scents,flashlight
and when cold weather sets in:
Extra gloves,hat

I use a fanny pack, but most of my hunting is done 5 minutes from my house.

A couple of sodas, maybe a candy bar or 5, my knife, allen wrenches, broadhead wrench, drag rope, scents, an emergency whistle and a monocular. Calls are tied to me and flashlight is left in the truck.

- Binoculars
- E-Zee hanger to hang bow & accessories on
- Extra step to hang backpack on
- Food & water based on the length of time I plan to hunt
- Toilet paper to mark blood trail & the obvious ::big
- A magazine for long afternoons
- Deer calls
- Predator call, just in case
- Deer permit
- Small flashlight incase I end up in the dark w/o planning on it
- Extra safety belt in case I or a buddy forgets one
- Rubber gloves for field dressing
- 2 Deer drags in case a buddy doesn't have one to help me drag the big one out ;)

That’s about it.

- Forgot to add, small folding limb saw. Use it to trim branches in the way & to cut open the pelvis when field dressing

Most of the time I don't carry a lot ,just depends where I'm hunting . In a wilderness area it will be TP , GPS , matches and tinder , rations ,rope ,wire saw , Knives and stone ,hatchet ,water ,gamebags ,tags ,radio, rangefinder, ammo ,ect, ect . You know I think I just discovered why I get so tired after a long hunt .
