Just picked up a Browning Micro Medallion in 308win with a 2 1/2 x 8 Leupold. Took it to the range and it looks like a good shooter for a light weight compact rifle. After sight in shot a one ragged hole three shot group @ 100yds. Thats with factory rem 150gr green box ammo. ;) Outlaw

Outlaw the Micro Medallion in 223or243 would make for a dandy carry/calling rifle.I just wish my budget was as big as some of the ideals I get(lol).New guns around my house are few and far beteween.

@black ya it dosent grow around on trees around here either. So sometimes there kinda slow a coming. When I'm working in the spring, summer and fall its alittle easier to come my way . In the winter I really have to cutt to the quick. If you know what I mean. ;) Outlaw

Outlaw,
It seems everyone that has a Browning raves about them, and people that don't have them cuss them. My father in-law has a A-Bolt Medallion in .300WM, and loves it. Says it's the most accurate rifle he has ever shot or seen. He got his because it was the only lefty he could find at the time, and now he wouldn't trade it for anything.

Hudge, :) Welcome to Huntseek.Yes some people can,t have an open mind about things. They get stuck on one thing and the rest are junk. There are alot of guns out there and I like most. ;) Thanks Outlaw

Browning has some things folks don't like... like a 1000$ basline 22 rifle. Or the smaller premiums on their other products. They're also all foreign in nature, mainly Japanese, but last I check since the Japanese couldn't beat us they joined us. Their barrels aren't six groove, blah blah blah. They shoot pretty well. :)

Elkein,I've only had two A-bolts and three BLR's and have shot someone else's BAR. They all seemed to shoot good. But then so do alot of guns made in the U.S. ;) Outlaw

Without a doubt there outlaw, I actually have a wide variety of makes, including but not limited to: a few guns I've made in my shop from scratch, a daisy, remingtons, rugers, brownings, marlins, a winchester, a smith & wesson, with a CVA in a pear tree. Likely to add another this year, my first revolver... added: forgot, I inherited a double wards hercules, and a chinese sks on permenant loan. That represents more than three countries.

Elkein, ya its sure nice to have all the choice's out there to play with. I just can't have as many as I would like, some times I have to sell or trade one to get another. ;) Outlaw

Just bought a new browning medallion in 300wsm with a BOSS System on it. Very sweet gun. The gun is beautiful it self...and shoots very smooth with little recoil. Have been shooting the 150gr. winchester ballistic tip ammo thought it...very fast and superb knock down power. The new wsm family only holds 3-rds in the mag. but with a properly adjusted rifle and scope....you only need ONE shot. Gotta love it!!!! :P

rojo36: Thanks for the response...and congrats to your friend. Mine is rather new, I have had it for about a month and have shot 3 boxes of shells through it. As of now, I have a 3-inch group at 100 yds. Most of shooting was getting feel of gun and scope adjusted. That is just shooting from a gun rest not a vice, so I am very pleased with the gun. The ammo is rather expensive, well little higher than other rifle ammo, but feel that it will come down and it becomes more popular. I have only shot the 150 gr. win. ballistic tip shell through it, have tried the rem 165 or win 180's yet. After researching the ammo a little, found the 150gr. to be the fastest at 3300fps and with the most ft/lbs energy. Those are even faster than the 270cal. Just depends what you like. I have knocked down one coyote with it...really puts a hurtin on them...thanks Indy

Rojo: To better answer your question, got out last night and did some more fine tunning on scope, now am shooting a consistant 1 to 3/4" group at 100 yrs. I can say that I am satisfied with that.... :)

Indy5064, now thats what we like to hear. Most of what I have read say that most rifles in 300 wsm will shoot aleast 1 inch, 3 shot groups or less. My own browning in 308 shoots well under an inch. Sounds like you got a keeper, good luck Outlaw.
