I want a new bow for next year. I am shooting a HIgh Country Machined Supreme that I bought new in 95.....it still kills but I want a new single cam.
I shot a Mathews Legacy and fell in love with it......super quiet and no hand shock to speak of.
What else would anyone recommend?
I have to have something quiet and it needs to shoot at 270 feet per second.......my old one still shoots that. ;barney

IVE ALWAYS BEEN A MATHEWS GUY, BUT, MY LATEST ONE WAS AN SQ2. IT SUCKED, I WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED, WAY TO TOUCHY FOR A HUNTING BOW. FOR A HUNTING BOW THERE IS NO NEED TO SPEND A TON O MONEY. I RECENTLY GOT A KILLER DEAL ON A BUCKMASTER 2000 NEW. THE FIRST THING I DID WAS PUT HIGH TEMP SILICON UNDER THE LIMBS IN THE POCKETS UND IN THE RISER UNDER THE GRIPS. KILLED THE VIBRATION AND SHOOTS LIKE A MATHEWS. 172 BUCKS. BYE BYE MATHEWS-GOOD LUCK- GO RAIDERS

I have a Mathews SQ2. The bow is a good hunting bow as long as I do my job.
No bow is a magic answer, you have to practice and practice and than practice some more. Than suddenly a "good" bow becomes a "great" bow.

I have a Hoyt Magnatec, and really like it. Mathews are great bows, as well as Parker, and Martin.

I'm also shooting the Magna-Tec.And really like it.There are a good number of bows on the market to fit each ones needs.

I like to talk to the Bow Tech's.They know the pro's and con's of specific bows.
Some bows are alittle more forgiving than others. Some have more techinical problems than others.Just another avenue to pursue while researching.

Thats McPherson archery, I have to of thier bows a Terminator and Intimidator both are good quality bows but are two cam so I do not know how thier single cam bows are but from my experiance with thier products would try one if I was looking for a single cam bow.

I bought a PSE "the beast" in 2000, and last year I was looking at the solo cams, my wife put the hammer down when she saw the price. So, I bought a lightening cam and a roller cam, and switched the cams myself, making a solo cam, a buddy has a bow press, we switched out the cams, put on new string, and re-tuned. The result is an extremely fast, quiet bow!! I haven't put it on a chrono yet, but will and let you know what speed I'm shooting, I do know that it is ALOT faster!! I did go to carbon shafts, but kept my zwickey 125gr. broadheads. I was putting arrows completely thru the front shoulder blades on every deer I put a bead on. Even on deer at 30 yrds., quartering towards me. I am very happy with this set up. Since changing mine, a couple other buddys are looking at doing the same thing.

equipped with the New cam and a half. these bows are some really fine shooting bows! ;)
