$50.00 1938 8mm turkish mauser + hacksaw & big drill bit + professional re-crown job + bead blast blue finish + bent bolt + Advanced Technology plastic stock from MidwayUSA + Bold Trigger w/ side safety + used 3x9x32 tasco scope + leupold mount and rings = My new, and slightly ugly hunting rig! Now the barrel is about 18", stock looks like a Cooper Scout clone, and it's no mountain lite but it's mine and it shoots where I point it. Got 5 boxes of remington 170 grain round nose 8mm's and I am gearing up for opening day! Might try to get a pic of it in here, but all that will do it get some laughs. I'll keep you updated on what kind of accuracy I can wring out of it.
