guess I should tell the story.
me and a friend of mine set up his call in the little gully you see there, cant realy tell in the picture. Im thinkn man wiht this wind were not gona see nothn or catch anythings attention, well I happen to glance to my left at just the right second to see the yote coming through a smalll opeing the brush where i could see it for split second. right then I lose it its over 100yds off so I m think ok there still a chance for shot at it. ohhhhhhhhhh no there wouldnt be no 50yd pop shots, that sucker damn near jumped in my lap out of nowhere. I kid you not it wasnt much further away from me than this computer screen is. the call was off to my right so it wasnt even noticing me till I decided ok I can take the shot. had the rifle across my lap almost like i do in the picture. and as I lift it up and moved the barrel in the coyotes direction it suddenly stops and looks at me right then is where I can finaly see fur through the scope and yanked the trigger. I was thinkn ohhhhhh man i know I but shot it or took a leg off or something cause there wasnt much in the way of placn a shot right then.. thats the only time a rifle has ever felt like 10' 2x4. so I finaly get to deadr then dead coyote and its shot right through the boiler room, I couldnt belive it.
thankx to someone who knows there stuff when it comes to callling thats how i snagged my first yote with a call

yeah, coyote hunting is thrill but for me its only substitute for deer and elk hunting, Im not inot it enough to get good at calling, though I do know a few ares and the yotes well enough to get settled down and snipe them as there headed down a daily trail. and let me tell you what, that is a thrill to know end. the only problem is they learn that when i get one in certain trail they take, then they dont go that way anymore so it takes awhile to get em tracked down again. the coolest part is I hunt them with my deer rifle wich is makn it so easy to connect and make it count on deer sized game.
that is still the only yote to go down after a call has sounded

Evan,
Nice pic. Good job on the shot as well. Looks like pretty open country as well. Not a house for miles it looks like. Thanks for the story.
