Made A New Friend Today

One of my hunting buddies asked me yesterday if he could bring a friend of his along this weekend for bowhunting.I agreed,Saturday afternoon we all met and headed for the timber.I put Marty(new guy) in a stand i thought was sure to give him a shot oppurtunity that afternoon.As it happened he never laid eyes on a deer.So i invited him back for this mornings hunt again.He wanted to sit in the same stand.I thought it was a good idea he did.Well about 11 o"clock we met up at the truck.I asked how mwny deer did you see.He said,six.I asked if he had any shots,he said,two,they both are down.He took two does,med sized.But better yet i made a new friend.Isn't hunting great

You remind me of one of my other huntin' buddies. He's never met a stranger. Anywhere we go we have to count on him finding someone to talk to. I on the other hand, am pretty quiet until I get to know a person.

Turned out that Marty is a Detective for the Belvidere Police Department and Tactical sniper on the force.In my younger days i use to hide from those guys,now i'm hunting with them...lol
