Who All Is Still Bowhunting ?

Wondering who all still has tags and is still bowhunting.

Myk i believe you were tag out for the year?
Realtree i know is still bowhunting,We hunted togather this Sunday afternoon.

Yep, 3 tags filled and a full freezer (2 bow, 1 firearm). I'm also very sick and tired of butchering.

I have 1 bow tag,and my girlfriend has shotgun tags for either sex and antlerless.

I have not bow hunted since opening day, other than to take out a couple of new bow hunting buddies. I have 1 bow and one shotgun deer this year, and it's all the meat we need.

I have a bow permit, and 2 shotgun permits available. I will not be out bow hunting any more, as I have all the meat we need. The only reason I would go bow now is for a trophy, and have already taken 2 bucks and can't take any more.

I do have 2 shot gun permits available. One I won't be able to use. We hunt on the Mississippi River, and it is usually to frozen for boats and not frozen enough to walk across for the second season. The other is for near my home. I will probably go out as this is my week-end off of work. If I get one I will just donate it to the Hunters For The Hungry (http://www.nrahq.org/hunting/hungry_nat_list.asp).

I'm going to Muzzle load through the weekend but then go back to the bow for a while. I just ordered some new carbons like a friend shoots, (Vipors I think :huh: ). I'm going to try some soft vanes. (flexi vanes I think :huh: ) I know what I'm getting just not the propper names :blink: I needed some stiffer shafts for even 100 gr broadheads and got tired of steaming my feathers out every other day with the weather we had, so maybe these will take care of both :D .

Well i hope the new arrows workout.I'm going out muzzleloading with the girlfriend this weekend,she has got 2 tags.Then i'm back to bowhunting to fill my 2nd buck tag.Ive been holding out for that big one.

I'm trying for an adult doe with no fawns or an 8 or better but all I have seen so far with the smoke pole is families and 3 small bucks. If I don't though, there is always the bow and the new shafts to try. I havn't made anything go bang this year which is a first and I don't think I like it very much :angry:

Are these all on your property DickPal?In 5 yrs they ought to be some nice bucks.And you'll be able to watch them mature.Name them even.lol.But i don't help any now i know.I'll pass on the Good Luck wish to the woman.We just got our first snow fall this morning,but i had to work this morning and she last night.And it will probably be melted by tomarrow.Tough breaks!!

I wish I was out there hunting. The only time I've deer hunted in the snow was once during ML season which is too late for the land I'm on (but I did have a shot at a nice 8pt, damn scope [cont] ). I've tried snow hunting with the bow but it was before I built my blind and too bitter cold to hang on to the metal riser.

I've thought about donning some orange and going out for moral support to keep those kids out in the blind. We continually try to tell them that they're not going to get a deer by sitting in the house watching TV.

I have one bow tag to fill and until Jan 15 to do it....I have see a few deer this year, but not many real shooter bucks, but you can't eat them racks right, LOL

I have shot one with a gun I can still get one with my bow. Will go out tomorrow & try to get one more for the freezer. :D
