I got to go to a new place i just got.Small but thick undergrowth.I didn't even want to walk through and scout it out.Just got the ok the day before.So i went in blind this morning and found a trail with my mini light,then a tree to climb.7:10 two does walked down a paralell trail 25 yds away.I had the perfect quartering away shot when the big doe stopped.I put the First Cut head on the mark.I did the same thing as you coop,severed the artery and top of the heart and both lungs.She still made it about 50-60 yds before going down in the bottom of a dried up creek bed.A nice 2 yr old doe.

It's just crazy how i have hunted that State Park as often as i did.And really not have one shot.Then go to a brand new private place and stick one the first morning.I am suppose to hear about another place tonight.Fingers are crossed,this is dream ground.

Way to go Mossy,

I hope to shoot a doe during shot gun for the meat. I gave away the meat to the buck to a buddy. If not, I'll have to get back out and do some more late season bow hunting.

I'll be concentrating on trapping starting next week-end.
