I went past my boat the other day. I swear it softly whispered my name, something about walleyes may have been suductively proposed.

Presently I 'm kinda cooped up in the apartment, (can't wait til I find a new house and get out of this crappy little apt.). We just were handed another 6 inches of snow, at least we didn't get the 12"-16" like to the west of me. To bide away the time I resorted to watching ESPN2 Outdoors this morning. By the middle of next week the temps are supposed to get up to the middle 30's, WAH WHOO!, a heat wave, gonna go and try my luck for some more crappies through the ice while I still can, still driving on the lakes here and should be pretty safe for a least a week may be longer.

AM? I? in the mood to get the boat out? You better believe it, winter gets a a tad long here and the closer April gets, the worse it snows just to let you know that she ain't ready to give in. I think the earliest I ever got my boat in the lake was the third week of April. What kind of ice out dates do others experience? I lived in WI all my life and admittedly naive to the ongoings outside my little world.

I think I'm going to go out and talk to my boat some more. (Did I mention the winters can be a tad bit long here?) I might even be allowed to peak under the covers.....
