Here is an article against trapping and hunting seasons for Iowa bobcat and otter. There is also a poll that everyone here needs to go and vote on whether you are in favor of hunting and fishing or against it.

Tcoop:This is a good, thought provoking article.I have been to these kind of meetings and in my estimation they seldom accomplished much. Both sides came with one thing in mind,to advance their own agenda. When both sides are talking, neither side learhs anything from the other side. When only one side talks you only learn one side.I dont know what could be done to be fair to both sides as,if they send a survey, unless they use equal views from both,it still isnt fair. But it is closer than getting two groups in a room and then the ones that have the capacity to use and deal with facts and know facts doing all the listening and a very few that usually dont fish, hunt,or trap but know all about it doing all the talking on oneside, and people that do all their reserch from peta and humaine society reports talking for the other side, and a moderator that is usually pro or con,not much is accomplished and I always left, knowing less instead of more. The way Michigan handled a lot of things was put it on a ballot.Altho I dont always agree at least I heard from the majority.Does this make sense? wooray.
