wow, WOW, that is all that I can think to say. Those are all incredible pix. I especially like that 1st one. I like how you can see the bear in the video screen of his bow cam.
Thank you very much for posting those awesome pix.

Oh, and a question, is that risky doing the spot and stalk on the ground w/ a bow? Do you carry a side arm?
Thanks

Ya it is a little scary spot and stocking.that bear came with in 10ft of us.The only side arm we had was a camera and what ever rocks we could find.I think if we took fire power with us this bear would of got it.Thats why I don't like carring a gun with us.the guy videoing shot a 20" 1/2" 7' 4" out of the same spot a week later with his bow.he was using that string tracker on his arrows and it was the coolest video when that bear took off the string was fly out of the spool and when it stoped we got down and there laid the bear 5o yrds away at the end of the string.I think next year we are going to have those string trackers for every guy /girl bow hunter that comes in to camp next year.the reason why is because 6 bow hunters wounded bears or we just couldn't find the bears in the thick trees,or we lost the blood trail.I think that if we all use them it will help us in recovering some of theses bears that we could'nt find. What do you think about those string trackers? have you ever used one your self.? I would only us them out to about 20yrds max.and are farthest shot at camp is 20yrds max.we have the drums set real close to the stands so you don't need to shoot to far.I think I shot my bear last year at 12yrds with my bow.

wtail,
I have never used one of those string trackers myself. I'm anxious to hear what everyone has to say about them.
I lost a real nice buck several years ago shot gun hunting in the rain. It was a good shot and there was a heavy blood trail. But the drizzle turned to a steady heavy rain and we watched the blood trail vanish before our eyes. 6 of us searched for hours but never found him.
So I always swore I would never bow hunt in the rain because you rely to heavily on the blood trail. Then I saw a video where they were hunting in the rain so they used the tracker. So I went out and bought one.
That was 3 or 4 years ago. The last 4 years I have had my deer by the 4th day of the season and never had to hunt in the rain, so that is why I've never used it yet.

This is one very brave hunter and deserves a medal. To go out and get that close to a carnivori with nothing but a camera shows me he loves nature, knows what he is doing, and is very generous to post pictures and share at least some of the thrill of his adventure. And what amazibg and beautiful pictures. What a hunter. wooray.
