I have a couple reloading manuals that list loads for the 44 mag ,but if you compare them they are the same loads as listed for a handgun . I've always just used the pistol round in my 1894 Marlin and forgot about it . Worked good on deer for my son . I should say his Marlin I haven't seen it since he borrowed it .

ive thought about getting marlon 44mag because i have pretty good load worked up. 310gr lazer cast bullets ontop of i think 21grs of h110 and a magnum pistol primer.

this load will work from deer to buffalo its stout to say the least

i think 22 is about max here do some book checking before you load this load. 20 is the low end for a 325gr bullet on hodgodns website.

my load was very acrurate with my 7 " barreld pistil i could print some pretty decent groups at 100yds from a rest

Guess I will have to give your load a try Evan ,I just picked up a 44 mag super blackhawk yesterday at a auction . It has the 7.5 barrel . Used but no marks on the finish , no slack in the cylinder for $275 . figured for that price it's something to play with .

Evan

That load does have a bit of a bite doesn't it , a friend tried a few in his encore and they jump . Haven't tried them in the hawk yet but will .

Evan You were right they do have a bit of a recoil dont they . If you weren't looking for it you could get an a shock first time out . Well now that Ive pressure tested my gun I think I might back them down a bit . Noiw all I have to do is go bear hunting

Default 44 mag hunting load rifle

are you loading all 30? If so only Load 28 never load 30. Try inserting mag with bolt locked to rear then just hit the bolt release.
