Default New Rifle

Well today i bought a new rifle (at least to me) . It was a 7.7 jap ,made at the end of WW II as a last ditch rifle . It is in very good shootable condition .I just wondred if anyone knew anything about these rifles. For only $50.00 i didn't figure I could get hurt that much ,not with 5 boxes of ammo .

Rojo you got a great buy at that price.Wether or not you ever use it.I always look at buying any gun as an investment.
I have shoot the 7.7 years ago.A buddy bought one at a gun show. And we took it out target shooting for a day.Blew up alot of water filled milk jugs.Does your gun have the long rectangular windage sights on it?I think they were for shooting at aircraft. And it had elevation sights that adjusted to 1500 meters.

Mossy it has the long rectangular elevation sight but I never paid that much attention at the time. I'll have to check it closer . I saw one at a gunshow today that wasn't even close to the condition of the one I bought and they were asking $200.00 for it . I know what you mean about buying guns for an investment ,I started trading guns when I was just a kid and that was a long time ago .I'm what is known as a certified gun nut .

Man why can't I find buys like that? I reckon I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I can get a gun for under 200 I consider it a buy. I saw a mint M1 garand last week for 600 bucks, and look was all I did. Good luck with your bargan purchase, let us know how it shoots.
